In the late 1940s Sam Walton opened his first discount store that focused on selling a large volume of products for low prices allowing him to profit without charging his customers high prices. In the early 1960s the first Walmart store opened in Arkansas and it quickly established an extremely loyal following. Over the decades Walmart went from being a small discount store to an International retailer that specializes in selling household goods, groceries, and services. Now Walmart has started offering its customers gourmet food including a variety of Walmart sushi meals.




Walmart sushi a new product that has debuted at a small number of stores. Primarily located found at West Coast Walmart locations, the Moji branded sushi gives shoppers and sushi lovers a chance to purchase several different types of sushi for an extremely affordable price. Walmart sushi trays contain eight pieces of sushi, wasabi, ginger, and soy sauce for a very low price.

California cream cheese rolls, one of the most well-known types of sushi roll, are sold at Walmart for just $4.98. These California rolls contain crab, cream cheese, and cucumber wrapped in seaweed, and rice with sesame seeds. Another popular type of Walmart sushi is the spicy crab roll that contains crab with sriracha and this roll also costs $4.98. There are two types of shrimp rolls (shrimp in paradise and shrimp avocado) that both cost $5.98, and larger platters that contain a combination of Walmart sushi items (approximately 20 pieces) are available for $15.88.
