The McDonlads revenues are collected from rent, royalties, and the fees that are paid by the franchisees, as well as sales the company-operated restaurants gain. Approximately 15% of the McDonald’s restaurants are owned and operated by the corporation directly. The remainder is operated through franchise agreements and joint ventures. Its business model is also slightly different from its competitors. The company also currently owns all of its property that is valued close to $16 billion to $18 billion.
