Publix is an employee owned supermarket chain that operates throughout the Southeast, primarily in states such as Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, and North Carolina. It was founded in 1930 by George W. Jenkins and has grown into one of the largest U.S regional grocery chains. It is, however, still growing and expects to start moving more toward the west. Publix stores often have bakeries, delis, and pharmacy’s, but they also have a section dedicated to seafood and it is here that Publix’s sushi is sold.
All of Publix’s sushi is made from fresh fish and served daily. Most of the times, you can easily find the s
ushi directly in front of a window where you can watch skilled sushi chefs making more sushi, though in other stores it will be stored like the other fish products. There’s a large variety of sushi to choose from including the ever popular California roll and Rainbow roll. Sometimes it might even be possible to find more traditional Japanese sushi, such as salmon or tuna nigari. Of course, if a customer is craving something specific, getting their hand on it is as simple as asking the chef’s to make them a custom platter. Of course, custom sushi platters will widely vary in price, depending on the type of sushi ordered.
PUBLIX SUSHI PRICES
All of the items used to make Publix sushi can be purchased throughout the store, as well as a sushi mat in order to roll sushi. Publix makes it easy and affordable to buy or even make your own sushi. Publix also offers a sushi party platter, consisting of 50 or more pieces. This, of course, runs toward the pricey end, but the amount of customization makes it completely worth it.
